Artist bio Olivia Rose

Olivia Rose who we affectionately call Livi is my eldest daughter, born in 1998 when I was just 18 years old sometimes it feels like we grew up together.

From the very beginning Livie has always been a creative soul.

Raised along the coast of Western Australia, Margaret River Dunsborough & Busselton in the early years and Perth in early teens surrounded by family, nature, and a home where making things was simply part of everyday life.

As the eldest of five, Livi naturally led the way, often gathering her siblings to draw, paint, and create alongside her.

Creativity came from all sides of our family, one grandad with his woodwork one with upholstery and fine furniture renovations, nan and aunties are very talented artists.

Livi would watch her dad Glenn when she was small as he taped up his graffiti artworks on surfboards & also patiently shaped surfboards.

In our own time together, paper crafts and small projects many hours spent at the table or drifting around craft supply shops Livi assisted me in my work designing furnishings & selecting fabrics even when she was little.

Surrounded by creatives.

Some of my fondest memories are of Livi quietly creating, sketchbooks always nearby, hands busy making something, often with a movie playing softly in the background. An artist was never something she had to try to be, it was just who she is.

Livi attended tafe to complete a art certificate opening up her love of creating to different mediums.

Over the years I’ve watched her creativity grow and change, supporting her as she explored different mediums and began sharing pieces of her work. Life, as it does, took her in different directions for a time, but her love for art never left.

Now living in Melbourne, Olivia is finding her way back to her creative rhythm, making space again for what she has always loved.

This collection is incredibly special to me.

It brings together Olivia’s work and my world of interiors, a reflection of her creativity, and the connection we’ve always shared.

A little note from Olivia,
“I’ve always loved creating, it’s my happy place. I’m so excited to be sharing my art with you again and I really hope you like it as much as I enjoyed creating it"

With love,
Em & Livi
