A modern take on classic comfort

The Mod Pod is Em's answer to the traditional bean bag — the kind we all remember, but rarely want in a thoughtfully designed home. Em wanted to keep the comfort, but elevate the shape, structure, and aesthetic to create something that feels right at home in a modern interior.

Drawing on her love of mid-century design, she reimagined the humble bean bag into a more sculptural, intentional form. Its rounded shape brings a soft, organic presence, while the chunky fabric handle adds a practical and playful touch — inspired by the bold simplicity of vintage furniture.

Em's very first Mod Pod was created in a  bouclé, setting the tone for what this piece would become: modern, textural, and stylish — without trying too hard.

Now available in Magnetic — a refined, grid-textured fabric from Warwick — this version brings a bold, architectural edge to the silhouette. It’s the kind of piece that belongs in a lounge, reading nook, creative studio or breakout room. Lightweight enough to move easily, yet structured to hold its form, the Mod Pod blends comfort and design in a way that feels both nostalgic and fresh.

Wait for it .... its a dual use indoor / outdoor fabric! Snuggle up by the fire through winter & pop her out on the balcony for those warm summer evenings!

Each Mod Pod includes a custom calico insert, ready to fill. This means your cover can be easily removed for washing or seasonal style swaps.

Safety Details
All beanbags are fitted with safety zips. We recommend keeping a bobby pin or safety pin nearby to open both the cover and the calico insert.
